This morning I was eating breakfast at my new “regular” cafe in the city. It has great decor, super quick service, friendly staff and really good food. The one downside is that it gets a little crowded and a bit noisy at times, but that’s a sign that it’s good, IMHO.

Creating Good Quality Stuff
Today was a bit of a sad day for me, my trusty Apple Wireless Keyboard finally gave up the ghost after nearly 12 years of faithful service.
Niche Appeal vs Mass Market Appeal
Inadvertently today, I started a very heated discussion on my Facebook timeline. I posted about how comedian, Mo’Nique (seriously, that’s her name), complained that she was the victim of racism and gender discrimination because she was only offered $500k to do a Netflix special and Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock got like $20m and Amy Schumer got $11m.
Sometimes Junk Food is Good Enough
This weekend, I spent a bit of time trying to slow my brain down a bit because I was feeling mentally tired. On Saturday, in particular, I spent a fair bit of time working in the Casual Marketer business and Sunday was the first issue of my new “The Week That Was” update style email.
Change Is The Only Consistent Thing
Humans are fascinating creatures. On the one hand, we’re instinctively conservative but yet, on the other hand, we’re adventurous explorers. In fact, some of us are both at the same time.
Google Are Not Sorcerers
Every so often, I’ll see a conversation about SEO that looks pretty interesting. I’ll dive into the thread and start reading the comments to get a feel for the ebb and flow of the discussion.
Forget Words, Praise Actions
We’ve all done this before…We get excited about something we want to do, announce it publicly and are lavished with praise for effectively achieving nothing other than saying we’re going to do something.
Why I Don’t Participate in Masterminds
Every few months, I’m approached by someone and asked if I would be interested in joining a mastermind that they are running or are part of it. Without fail, every single time someone asks, I politely decline.
Radical Transparency With Yourself
Sometimes you read a book and while you don’t always agree with everything and maybe not even “like” the protagonist, there’s something about the book that sticks with you and makes an impact.
Pacing Yourself Accordingly
Ok, I don’t really want to be one of those stupid people who say, “We’re two weeks into 2018, only 50 more weeks in the year! Are you on track to meet your goals?” But let’s be honest, time has a tendency to slip away from us when we’re not paying attention or tracking out progress regularly.
